From 8 a.m. of 29 October to 8 a.m. 30 October, Dalian 24-hour endurance race will begin in Sports Center. As a festival that runners can not miss, Dalian 24-hour is coming like hot strikes with its heat all over the city.

       The 24-hour endurance race is a most challenging sport with the performance determined by the running distance of the participants within 24 hours. It is popular in Taiwan,China, Japan, the United States, Canada and other countries and regions. Since 2013, the races of 12 hours, 24 hours have been organized in many domestic major cities in various forms, attracting a lot of attention.

       This event is a high standard road run race. Not only is it registered with the Chinese Athletic Association officially, but also it is the first in adopting the IAU (International Association of Ultra-Marathon) standard, which divides the results into international level, national level and general finish level. The competition is provided with four individual groups of 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours and 3 hours respectively, and two team groups of 6 people for 24 hours of uninterrupted relay, and 12 people for 24 hours of uninterrupted relay. The group settings are not only for professional and high level amateur players, but also  meet the needs of the ordinary road race enthusiasts, even the beginners. The competition organizing committee will also provide rich delicacy supplies on the track for the athletes. It is reported that the site will have electric music, dance and other performances; the 24-hour massage service, and the fluorescence night run step, will all make the game more interesting and more memorable.

       As learned, this event is more than a sports event, for the organizers will take 24% from the total registration fee for group relay to donate on site to social welfare organizations and the individuals and families in need of help.
